Slivovitz - February 02, 2015
Slivovitz is a generic term for a plum brandy popular in Eastern Europe. Our particular selection is Silver Slivovitz from the Czech Republic. It is quite strong and quite sour, so make sure you have something which can cut the harshness. The plum flavor goes well with citrus and other fruits, so we prefer things that are lighter and summery. If you are in the mood for something different, check out Slivovitz and mazel tov!

Licor de Vainilla Nany's - January 03, 2015
Licor de Vainilla Nany's is a very special vanilla liqueur we encountered in Cozumel. It is made from white agave and Mexican vanilla pods. It is sumptuous and sweet without being sugary or syrupy, and is quite unlike anything we have been able to find in the United States. Our cocktails have been specifically crafted to use subtle flavors so that its beauty is not lost, although you could certainly sip the liqueur itself. Unfortunately, Licor de Vainilla Nany's is not exported outside of Mexico, but if you can ever find a bottle, this is well worth the cost.

This coupled with its brilliant color makes it perfect for layered shots. Use it to spread some holiday cheer, but be careful: this ain't your average schnapps.

Nardini Amaro Bassano - November 01, 2014
Amaro is a completely new type of liqueur for us. It is traditionally drank straight as a digestif, but we couldn't resist blending the
incredibly complex flavors into new cocktail creations. Nardini amaro has notes of licorice, peppermint, chocolate, espresso, and cherry.
The body is thick and sugary while the finish is surprisingly bitter. We fully intend to delve more into the subject of amaro in coming articles, but for now,
we're certain these intriguing drinks are unlike anything you've had before.
